Privacy Policy
Placeholder document version:
2026-09-12-placeholder.
This is the same version string shown on the
Terms of Service and stamped on a customer's account at signup, so the
Terms and Privacy Policy always move together as one pair.
1. Overview
PLACEHOLDER.
This Privacy Policy explains what Grudar, LLC collects, how it is used, and how long it is kept when you use Grudar ("the Service") to scan construction plans, specifications, and site photos. We treat the documents you upload as commercially sensitive by default.
2. Information we collect
PLACEHOLDER — category list only; final wording pending counsel.
- Account information: name, email address, company name, and any optional details you choose to add.
- Document set: the plans, specifications, and site photos you upload for a scan, and the report generated from them.
- Usage and device data: standard service-operation logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, error reports) used for security and debugging.
- Billing information: handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
3. How we use it: AI processing and subprocessors
PLACEHOLDER — subprocessors are named by CATEGORY, not by vendor, per this work order; counsel/owner to confirm the real list before this ships.
To produce your report, your document set is sent to one or more third-party AI model providers for processing. We use it only to run the scan you requested — not to train public or generalized AI models, and not for advertising. We share data with the following categories of service providers, each bound by contract to protect it:
- Cloud hosting, database, and file-storage providers.
- AI model provider(s) used to read documents and draft the report.
- Payment processing (for per-scan charges).
- Error-tracking and monitoring tooling (technical diagnostics only).
We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers.
4. What we store, and for how long
PLACEHOLDER — actual retention windows are an owner/counsel decision, not written here.
We retain your account, document set, and report for as long as your account is active, so you can revisit past scans. Specific retention windows for backups and deleted data are [data retention window -- to be supplied by counsel].
5. Deletion
PLACEHOLDER.
You may delete a document set, a report, or your entire account. When you do, we remove it from active systems within [deletion window -- to be supplied by counsel]; backups roll off on their own schedule after that. To request deletion, contact support@grudar.com.
6. Data security
PLACEHOLDER.
We use industry-standard safeguards: encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation between customer accounts. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
7. Your rights
PLACEHOLDER.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your information, and you can opt out of non-essential communications. Residents of jurisdictions with additional statutory privacy rights (for example California or the EU/EEA) may have further rights described here once counsel finalizes this section.
8. Children and international users
PLACEHOLDER.
The Service is for business use by adults and is not directed at children. Our infrastructure operates in [data hosting region -- to be confirmed]; if you access the Service from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed there.
9. Changes to this policy
PLACEHOLDER.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. The version string at the top of this page will change whenever the text does. This section is a placeholder pending counsel review; the update process and what happens to existing customers' acceptance when the text changes have not been decided yet.
